Before you reach out

Questions, answered directly.

No vague language. No "it depends" without explanation. If something isn't covered here, just ask.

Natalie responds within 48 hours. If it sounds like a good fit, she'll suggest a short discovery call (usually 20 minutes) to answer any questions and decide whether to move forward together. No commitment required at that stage.

Most clients are in their first session within a week of reaching out. There's no lengthy intake process or long waitlist. Inquiry → discovery call → booked.

No. "I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but something feels off" is enough. The clarity comes through the work. You don't need it figured out before you start.

Individual and couples sessions are available in 60-minute ($180) or 90-minute ($270) formats. For couples who need to move faster or address something urgent, a 3.5-hour intensive is also available at $600.

Depending on what you're working on and how frequently you meet, it can range from 3 months to years. Some clients want regular long-term work; others prefer to learn the tools and go on their way. Both are completely valid, and Natalie supports you either way.

Weekly is most common: it keeps momentum. Every other week works for some clients once the initial work is underway. No open-ended "as long as you need it" timelines; frequency is discussed and adjusted based on where you are in the process.

Reality Therapy and Choice Theory form the foundation, focused on what's in your control and what you actually want. Attachment theory and trauma-informed care inform how Natalie reads patterns and creates safety. For couples work, the Gottman Method (Levels 1 & 2) provides the structural framework. Existential approaches are woven in where relevant.

Yes. Everything shared in sessions is confidential, with the standard legal exceptions (imminent risk of harm to self or others, mandatory reporting obligations). Natalie will be clear about these boundaries in your first session.

When therapists work within an insurance framework, the primary allegiance can shift toward the insurance company rather than the client. At Own It, treatment is tailored to what will actually work for you, not what an insurance company will approve.

Many clients are also concerned about having a diagnosis on their permanent record. Own It takes confidentiality seriously, and working outside insurance keeps your records safeguarded.

That said, Natalie is happy to provide a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. HSA payments are also accepted.

Yes. HSA (Health Savings Account) payments are accepted. Natalie can also provide a Superbill for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Ask about this when you inquire.

Natalie sees clients by video call only, there is no physical office. She's licensed to practice in Colorado (LPC) and works with Colorado-based clients on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Same structure, same direct approach. The only difference is the screen.

No. Own It specifically works with couples who want tools before things break. Newlyweds, couples entering parenthood, couples navigating relocation: these are the transitions where early work makes the biggest long-term difference.

For couples sessions, yes: both partners need to be present and willing. If your partner is hesitant, individual sessions can be a useful first step to clarify what you want and how to raise it. Reach out and Natalie can help you think it through.

Yes. Post-rupture work is one of the areas where the 3.5-hour intensive format is particularly effective. It's not comfortable, but it's some of the most important work a couple can do. Inquire and Natalie will be straight with you about whether the timing and format are right.
